Chef Daniel Helps with Dinner

I love to cook things. Two times I helped make biscuits. This is all the things that I helped with. I helped with measuring the ingredients, I rolled the dough out and I also did the most important thing... cutting the biscuits all by myself. I didn't have any help with rolling and cutting the biscuits.

There is something else I did. I helped beat the meat. I really liked to do it, but it got kind of hard.

Cooking is one of my favorite things to do.

Good Morning Gorillas

This is my book review of "Good Morning Gorillas" written by Mary Pope Osborn. It is another Magic Tree House book.

The main characters in the Magic Tree House books are Jack, Annie and Morgan. Jack likes to write notes and he is very careful in everything he does. Annie likes animals and isn't as careful as Jack. Morgan is a magical librarian from Camelot.

The Magic Tree House takes Jack and Annie to a cloud forest in Africa. It takes them so high it looks like they are in the clouds. Annie found a baby gorilla and Annie named it "Bu Bu". Later on they find a family of gorillas. A mother gorilla is called a Silverback because it has a silver back. Later Jack looks in the book about gorillas to look up how to be friends with a gorilla. He needed to act like a gorilla and also he pretended to eat plants and other stuff that real gorillas eat, like berries, leaves, bamboo, branches, bark, twigs, ferns and flowers.

In the end they don't want to leave because they really missed the gorillas, but they had to because they were done with the mission.

I really liked this story because it was funny and I like reading Magic Tree House books.

Magic Tree House - Christmas at Camelot

I just read my first chapter book and I finished it last night.

The name of the book I read is "Christmas in Camelot" which is a Magic Tree House book and it was written by Mary Pope Osborne.

The main characters in the story are Jack, Annie and Morgan. Jack likes to read books and he is very careful. Annie likes to explore. Morgan is a magical librarian from Camelot and she collects books for her library from different times and places.

In this story they go to Camelot but they don't know how to get there because they have no books about Camelot because it's legend. Annie makes a wish to go there, then Jack and Annie go there in the Magic Tree House.

All the people like Morgan, the knights, Merlin and King Arthur were frozen. A Christmas Knight froze them and he said for them to get the Silver Cup full of Water of Memory and Imagination.

Jack and Annie rode a white stag to the other world and figured out that they could turn invisible to get past the guards at the gate. They saw dancers dancing in a circle and Jack wanted to dance with them and then Jack went to go with them. It's a magical circle and once you get in you don't want to leave. Annie pulled Jack out of the circle.

The Christmas Knight told them to get the water out of a cauldron. They had to use the key that Lancelot gave them to get into a crystal cave. Jack and Annie found the cauldron pot and filled their cup with the water just before they say a dragon like monster that shoots blue fire. Jack and Annie picked up sticks with fire on them to scare the dragon back and they escaped.

Then they saw the knights again and they forgot where their horses were, but Jack and Annie knew where they were. Then they went back towards Camelot and they saw the white stag. The knight said to get on the white stag because it's magic and they'll go faster.

When they got back in the castle Jack accidentally tripped and the water went out of the cup and it froze up into nothing and there was a big cloud. Then somehow King Arthur, Merlin, the knights and Morgan weren't froze anymore.

I liked the story because it was exciting.
